These Eyes Can See

Panthers 3.
Devils 2.

That is, the 13th place Florida Panthers against the (for now) 2nd place New Jersey Devils.

And there isn't even any room for excuses (to which a few Buffalo fans might resort), because the Devils are still fighting for position. The Penguins won last night meaning that the are tied for 2nd place, point-wise, although the Devils have the tie-breaker.  But, with two games left for both teams, it's just too early to call how this race shakes out.

Most important news?

Brodeur: 15 saves (.833 save %... Yikes).

Kovalchuk: 0 points.

Originally, I was hoping for the Bruins to pull into 6th place to take on the hopeless Sabres (which they did last night), but at this point, the Devils are looking like the easiest target on the board.  Sort it out, Satan.
