Sickness East 2010

That woman deserves her revenge...
And we deserve to die...
But then again, so does she.
So, I guess we'll just see...
Won't we?

West Sickness
Midwest Sicknes
East Sickness
South Sickness

Once again we're faced with a wide open field for the number 1-seed... At least on paper.  But just what do Pitino's Pussycats really have to worry about en route to a Regional Final?  Two former, now sloppy powerhouses?  An A-10 sleeper?  A bunch of geeks from the Ivy League?  Or some inconsistent corn-crackers?

Once again the committee just seemed confused as to how to proceed with yet another region.  The field is so diluted this year as if they're now cutting some already thin cocaine with even more baby powder.  Ahem... But look at the schools that they simply tossed into this region: Clemson, Wake, Texas, Missouri, Marquette, Washington.  All big-time programs, all coming off "meh" seasons.  Can we even be excited about the Big East champions?  Well we are, mainly because we have no other options.  Kentucky deserves and early round loss and someone deserves their revenge.  Too bad Memphis couldn't make it for this go-round, eh?

Sleeper Special: Jesus the possibilities... Hillybilly North over Hillybilly South

Sorry if we're not impressed by New Mexico's ultra-easy schedule.  Oh, they beat Cal?  Who hasn't?  The Lobos generally struggle against tough competition, so there's no reason to believe that they won't struggle against Montana who has been decent this season.... Sure.

Not-So-Sleeper Special: Woff over the Wisco Inferno

Aside from Illinois, the Badgers have had very little trouble dispatching inferior teams and Wofford falls into this category.  Wofford has been playing well lately, and Wisconsin has trouble scoring sometimes, so a close game is certainly a possibility.  An upset, however, is not.

Non-Top 4 Seed Most Likely to Wreak Havoc: Marq of a Champion

Marquette is been tested all season and has generally passed.  The Big East has just been a better conference all year, and the Eagles certainly have the ability to make a charge in the 8.  Or, they lose in the first round.  Neither would surprise me.

Early FSD Favorite to Rule the East: Huggies' Bears

Because help us, Bob Huggins, you're our only hope of preventing Kentucky from reaching the Final Four.

And how about that?  We picked a not-number 1 seed!  One more to go...
