Sickness West (2010)

Every night and every morn, some to misery are born.
Every morn and every night, some are born to sweet delight.
Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night.

West Sickness
Midwest Sickness
East Sickness
South Sickness

Introducing, weak ass region #1.  Everyone was complaining right from the get-go that Duke should not have gotten such preferable treatment over Syracuse?  Oh, you mean Syracuse should have gotten the First Class window seat instead of Duke?  What if the Orange have bladder issues and prefer the aisle?  Either way, these two are BOTH flying the friendly skies.  What's to stop Syracuse from reaching the Elite Eight?  Vanderbilt?  Seriously?  The team that was gift-wrapped a spot in the SEC final, but lost to a team that isn't even in the field of 64?  Look out!

It's the bottom half of this bracket that is intriguing.  Can Kansas State actually beat anyone worth beating and not named Baylor?  Good thing Kansas is safely stashed a bracket away.  But it's the other power in the bracket that should concern the 'Cuse.  Why?  Well, because the Pitt Panthers handed the Orange their first loss of the season way back when.  They'll have to get by the X-Men first if that's gonna happen though.

Prognosticate with us!

Upset Special: TEPid storm over Mr. Belvedere.

UTEP lost 6 games all season to 5 teams.  FOUR of those five are in the tournament.  The 5th was a bubble team.  Butler's winning streak is impressive?  Well, so was 16-game winning streak that just ended on Saturday.

Upset Not-so-Special: Bill Murray over Van De Kamps

Murray State's record is pretty impressive, and by that I mean their 4 losses.  Western Kentucky?  Morehead State?  Lousiana Tech?  And Cal?  The first three are fine, but Cal?!?  Unforgivable losing to a Pac-10 team. Actually, Vandy lost to Western Kentucky, too... Ahm... Anyway, Vandy is hungry after their last loss and will not lose.

Non-Top 4 Seed Most Likely to Wreak Havoc:  The Mormons

They can score... And sometimes that's all you need. Ps. Ever heard of the Mountain Meadows massacre?  Look it up and be afraid.
