1:20pm - Not sure if I picked Florida over BYU in one of my 11 brackets (you heard me)... Still not sure if that was such a good idea.  But seriously, fuck the SEC.

1:23pm - Nova's problem?  They have NO idea how to play defense other than to foul profusely.  All the depth in the world can't make up for poor defensive coaching.

1:29pm - I lived in Phoenix for a few years right after college, so I needed to go out in order to enjoy my "home" teams.  As a result of the manner in which football broadcasts go gaga for commercial breaks, I was forced to watch other non-commercialized events while being sold dick drugs on my screen... Well, since then I've developed quite the talent for watching several televisions at once and these are the times when it comes in handy... I'm like a fucking circus seal over here.

1:33pm - When the committee was making their terrible terrible minds up about the field, they determined that one mid-level Big East squad was going to get the Pac-10 champ and the other was going to get the Colonial champ.  I'm not sure who got more of a raw draw; Marquette or Notre Dame... But ND has got their hands full because these Monarchs can shoot.  ND 30 ODU 29

1:37pm - One half in and my bracket is already busted...

1:40pm -  These mid-level schools just seem more battle tested than say an SEC or ACC team.   The competition, while probably more diluted across the board, just seems so much more intense as a result.  It's as if every team has weak points which makes everything so much more interesting, whereas in the major conferences some teams just suck and others are really good.  In other words, go BYU.

3:02pm - Murray State is dangerous, and admittedly, I was pulled away from that upset call due to everyone's love of Vandy... Which largely stems from that pretty awesome upset they pulled way back when... But has nothing to do with present circumstances and their existence in the awful, AWFUL SEC

Sorry the guinness is successfully penetrating my brain function and I very well could have made that memory up at this point.

3:05pm - Prediction: RoMo keeps fouling and Nova bleeds them to death until the game mercifully ends.  Nice effort, fellas.  You kinda got robbed.

Yet, they're wild.  And perhaps more conspicuous than their wild nature is their inability to accomplish the most simple of tasks.  They're a completely unproductive bunch and that's ultimately the only harm they present.  So, don't be afraid should you encounter such a pod, but, a note to employers: amidst all this tax-break-for-new-hires talk, please be aware, that cheap labor is not all the same, so please avoid anyone previously associated with a WPR...

In other words, anyone that played basketball for either Notre Dame or Old Dominion.
