Why Do We Fall?

To embarass ourselves and subsequently be removed from medal consideration, of course.

Yay!!!

I actually like figure skating.  Sure, it's gay, but gay can be awesome (see: lesbians and leotards), and most notably during pairs figure skating.  It's beautiful and it's impressive, but sometimes it can be awful.  Like last night.  When just about everyone, with the exception of the Silver and Gold medal winners, took a seat at various points during the long program (eg. the "Free Skate").  The competition was so bad, that the the German team (who also fell) still managed to snag Bronze since, well, everyone else sucked just a little more.

Alongside the Germans on the podium were two Chinese couples, who will in turn be donating their medals to the Chinese government to be melted down and then evenly distributed throughout the country-side to 400 or 500 million people.

The Biggest Loser: Yuko Kavaguti.

The Japanses-born skater who defected from Japan, in order to live in St. Petersburg and win a medal for Russia.  Well, her squad took fourth.

I wonder if she feels shame in Japanese or Russian... Hmmm.
